An Addendum to the Shriek...
I should mention that Aimee is completely worth seeing live. I've done it just about every year for the past three or four (can it really have been that long?), and she puts on quite a show and usually takes audience requests for her encore. It's a good time. If you can't actually get to one of her shows (there's a tour section of her web site, but I can't link directly to it because it's flash and I'm not entirely sure it's up to date...), there's a live CD/DVD called "Live at St. Ann's Warehouse" that's a reasonable substitute and includes a whole bunch of the tracks mentioned below, so it's a bargain way to get the best of Aimee experience.

Was not familiar with Aimee Mann's work until tonight. Listened to a few tracks on her web site and was pleasantly surprised...finally a Jen artist that made the listen worth it.
Worth noting: She's playing in New York on Feb. 9.
Also worth noting: Rangers have a 4-1-1 record against the Devils this season.
Be honest, it was the Lebowski reference that got you... :) Glad you liked it!
The Rangers are awesome.
Chris Penn, RIP.
Aimee dates his bro. I have seen Chris twice since I oved to Santa Monica. Once at Ralph's(another Lebowski reference) and once driving a huge-ass Cadicallac SUV in downtown SM. Both times he looked a bit strung out. Now he's dead.
Now phil... Aimee and Michael Penn are married. And in fact, they do a fine duet rendition of "Two Of Us" that's available on iTunes and I think on the I Am Sam soundtrack.
